About this project

Wavefront: Vanguard is an independent real-time strategy game in development, built in Unity. It's a combined-arms RTS about sensors, counter-sensors and fire support, played on procedurally generated islands on land, at sea and in the air.
Design pillars
- The fused sensor picture. Every detector on your side feeds one shared picture, and what you can shoot is what that picture holds.
- Combined arms that depend on each other. SAMs need radar, bombers need spotters, carriers need escorts.
- Military strategy over base-building. A deliberately small economy, so decisions go into positioning, timing, logistics and fire support.
- Physically grounded, readable systems. Line of sight follows the real terrain, missiles fly real trajectories, and the HUD always shows why something happens.
- Low-poly clarity. Clean faceted art, distinct silhouettes, strong team colours, and sensor views that change how the battlefield reads.
Status
Playable prototype. All four game modes, the unit roster, sensor fusion, vision modes, account progression, AI commanders and multiplayer are in place. Balance tuning, audio and a full multi-account Steam test are next.
